Living Green Outdoors

Going green is not just about recycling or changing light bulbs, it is learning and putting what we learn into practice. What we do in our outdoor life is as important as recycling, changing light bulbs and buying green products to make our homes safer and healthier. We enjoy our outdoor life by fishing, camping, gardening and so much more so why do we not think about the things we do outdoors? For exp. When fishing, what do you use for weights, lead right? what kind of line do you use? is it biodegradable? More than likely it isn't. Do you enjoy gardening? For me gardening is relaxing. I like to plant vegetables and herbs. I start out with organic homemade compost, instead of top soil, If you have never made a compost pile, it is easy to do but you cannot put just anything into your pile.

I love camping, it is a way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city or just everyday life. Camping is a way to learn about and appreciate nature, but there are campers that are mindless about their camping, they throw trash in the woods, hammer nails into trees and throw trash into the fire pit. When camping remember to recycle, If the campground does not have a recycling center, save a place in you car or camper where you can put your recycling until you can either get home or you find a recycling center. Take your trash to the trash center, most campgrounds have one, don't leave it at the camp site. When building a fire, be mindful, find logs and twigs that you find on the ground, nature has a way of providing what you need, do not put trash in the fire it can cause toxic smoke and you know if you have ever been camping fire has a way of sending smoke your way so be careful! And always remember to put your fire out completely before you leave, check, double check and triple check. Water, Water, Water, Stir, Stir, Water, Water Water!! and Repeat...

Ready To Make A Change

I have said many times that I was tried of working, getting up every morning to the same sound of that awful buzzer! I felt like a robot doing the same thing everyday, wake up, get dressed, drive to work, stay there for 8 hours or a few hours more, drive home, fix dinner, clean up the dishes, watch a little TV and go to bed, just to have start all over the next day. How Boring!

I am happy to see people start taking better care of our planet!

Going Green to save out planet is catching on. People are starting to see that our planet is starting to welt and it needs to be watered and fed. They are understanding that if we all do not take care of her (our Mother Earth) we and our kids will not have a beautiful place to live.

Dealing With People With different Personalities

When you have a home based business, you are dealing with all kinds of people and every kind of personality. A good friend of mine teaches us the four different personalities with colors, Red, Blue, Yellow and Green.

Red: Driven, Focused
Blue: Impressive, High Energy
Yellow: Amiable, Dependable
Green: Analytical, Organized

Each color is more involved than just the two descriptions above, I just wanted to give a few examples.

Everyone is a primary color which is followed by a secondary color. Some of us like me have a little each color and has one dominant color. Learning people by colors is fun, you learn to make a game with it and while you are doing that you are teaching yourself how to deal with the different personalities. This also helps when you are in a work environment, all the people you have to work with everyday.

I know that I have a difficult time with the personality red, and they know it too. So this is a color I have to teach myself how to deal with.

Learning the different colors and the personalities can be fun,you can make somewhat of a game out it, It makes it easier to learn.

Earth Day Has Made A Big Come Back

I did a blog about 4 or 5 months ago telling everyone that "Green Is A BIG Business" I was hoping to get it across that there are ways you can be environmentally friendly and it will save you money.

I don't think many people knew that being green was really that big of a deal, but I hope everyone was paying attention to last month in April 2009. There were events everywhere about going green and how to clean your home from all these chemicals, they told people to stop using plastic bottle for drinking water and buy a energy star water filter for your home. they told people how to reduce, reuse, recycle!

I was told by someone a few weeks ago that people are recycling way to much, WOW! Well if that is the case, some of you inventors out there better get real busy inventing ways to use all the recycling items. You may strike it rich!
